Rosa Laura Junco is CEO and co-developer of The Knife Media.
She has served on the executive board and community editorial boards of her family’s Grupo Reforma, the largest print media company in Latin America. Born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, Rosa Laura witnessed Reforma’s newspapers become a key player in the fight for freedom of speech, democratic elections, and access to public information in her native country. In the process, she developed a keen sense of the power media has to craft the community it serves, and the responsibility this entails.
In 2008, given the escalating violence in Mexico, Rosa Laura Junco relocated with her family to the United States. There, she gained an even broader perspective on how media could promote or cripple progress in any society. She still maintains deep personal and professional ties to Mexico, where she continues to strive for social justice and change.
